Live it!

Here’s a shot for the history books:

Looks lie a team or two has quit…. either way, we’re #1 baby!

Way to go IPX

Wrapped when I saw it.
Only trouble now is you have to wait to be challenged.

Love the look of the ladder atm…:)

I got my doggie to do some “maintenance” on their machines

Celebrations cut short

I know we all thought this top of the ladder business would last forever. It seems like just yesterday we became number 1…

But all good things must come to an end…

The challenger: Ethereal
The defender: Team IPX
Match Status: Challenge Sent
Response deadline: 09:32pm 9/2/2008

pop a few e's and game on!

I’m sitting out as cap’n, but can I make a suggestion?
Not on feb 24….. don’t think many people will be available that night (I know I won’t be!).

Also tempted to get a GA ref for this one…

GA Ref G00d Idea

I’d second that GA Ref, we need to keep an eye on the Ethereal illegal moves……

+2 for the ref also what are

+2 for the ref

also what are all the dates/times they’ve given us?

chipper's picture

crap you guys need a ref;

crap you guys need a ref; you need to practice and plan strats

Yes to the GA ref and who

Yes to the GA ref and who gets to choose the map and a prac scrim against DI or TW for this match is a must.

-1 ref

I’m with Chip on this. I don’t think you need a ref. When we start beating better teams than them, and they still beat us – then’s when to get suspicious. They’re just like all the rest right now tho – better than us.

Before even a practice plan and strats – what we need more for this match is someone to put their hand up to captain and organise it. Otherwise we’re just wasting time talking about it as it will be a forfeit. I’ve already said I’m unavailable with work commitments for all 3 days. (Sorry bout that)

The basics… We wont have

The basics… We wont have enough time for this next match, but after that.. We need to focus on the basics.. Which to me i reckon are, “timing” and “aiming”.. Both of which, as a team, sucks to be blunt.

Yes the basics...

They are the basics of individual play, but we more sorely miss the basics of team play IMHO.

We tend to get overwhelmed by coordinated assaults on an objective by an entire team at one time, wheras we attack too much as soon as we spawn. A little bit of coordination of defence points (i.e. don’t try and defend a wide area in 6v6 — congregate at a logical squeeze point) and attacks (wait for your friends) would probably take us further than hours of aim and run practice.
